QuestAir to supply hydrogen purification technology to
Indonesian hydrogen peroxide plant
BURNABY, B.C. – QuestAir Technologies Inc. (AIM: QAR; TSX: QAR) announced
today that one of its H-3100 hydrogen purifiers will be included in a hydrogen peroxide
(“peroxide”) plant in Indonesia.
The plant, which produces peroxide for use in the Indonesian pulp and paper industry, is
operated by PT Degussa Peroxide Indonesia (“PT Degussa”), a division of Degussa AG.
Hydrogen is used as a chemical feedstock in the production of peroxide, and QuestAir’s
H-3100 pressure swing adsorption (“PSA”) system will be included in the expansion of
an on-site hydrogen plant that supplies the peroxide plant.
Jonathan Wilkinson, President and CEO of QuestAir said that PT Degussa is expanding
the production capacity of its on-site hydrogen plant in response to strong growth in the
demand for peroxide in Indonesia.
“South East Asia represents an exciting growth market for hydrogen PSA’s for both new
hydrogen plants, and capacity expansions. We are extremely pleased to the working with
Degussa, a global leader in specialty chemicals, on this high profile project.”
